Du Nord are from Paris, but their music sounds like it came from a Brooklyn-based, guitar-addling crowd, all in unadulterated adoration of Real Estate and their contemporaries. Simple guitar sequences and light, reverb-enhanced vocals sink into your conscience and before you know it, you’re floating along, right beside it all. Sometimes there’s nothing like a bit of gentle pop simplicity.
